About Me
About Me

My interest in nutrition and physiology first began many years ago when I began competing in the various sports I enjoy. The link between my body's performance, the food and drinks I ate, and my lifestyle, soon became painfully obvious to me, especially considering that my favourite sport was distance running. I realised that late nights on the town and optimum athletic performance did not fit well together (to put it mildly), and gradually found myself reading more and more on various topics related to diet, exercise and health.

After leaving the Royal Navy I decided I should work in an area that I had a real passion for. So over the next few years, I completed the HNC in Sports Science (at Preston College), then the Diploma in Optimum Nutritional Therapy with    (Premier Training International) before finally completing the Post Graduate Diploma in Nutritional Therapy at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York (in conjunction with Middlesex University).

Upon completion of my studies I was eligible to become a BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy) & CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council) accredited nutritional practitioner and the practice was established (please feel free to confirm my status by clicking on the links at the bottom of the page). The aim of the practice is to help people to improve their general health, fitness and wellbeing, whilst also encouraging better weight management or loss (if required).

Finally I hope that by visiting this site and reading through some of the pages, you will begin to understand the effect that your diet, lifestyle and environment has on your health, fitness, weight and wellbeing.

Simply having taken the time to be reading this today, means you have already begun your own personal Ivolution.

Thanks for reading!
